Hello Gary,

   Becky Heuie gave me your email address and suggested that I send you a note.
For sometime now I have been tracing the William Allen family from Jackson
County, Georgia and I understand that you are from the Beverly Parks Allen
line.

   I have been corresponding with a lady in Texas whom I've not sent info. but
am now putting it together and hope to have her something soon. She is of
the John Barkley Allen line.

  It would seem that none of us have hit the target yet but I am getting
closer on some of the family and I understand that you have found it
through the Barkley line. I have received some info recently on this line
from someone who is doing a search but have not gotten a great deal of
info. as of yet.

   Would be glad to exchange info. with you. She seems to think that our
William came from the Augusta, Georgia area and I did see a William there
early on but I suspect that he is not ours. There was one in Savannah, Ga.
also but again I doubt that he is ours. I still believe that ours is from
the Lancaster County, S.C. area and maybe came from N.C. down into S.C. as
did the other Allens. There was a William in Elbert Co., Ga. at the same
time our William was in Jackson Co. That William had a brother as well as a
son named Beverly. The other William (makes four in the area) was living in
Franklin County, Ga. and was from Lancaster County, S.C. and he moved into
Lumpkin County, Ga. where he died. It is a mess trying to find who is who.
