Subject: Hunsucker Pedigree
Dear Adrian and Hunsucker Researchers-
I submit the following Hunsucker line for your kindly assistance with my
documentation, proper identification and enlightenment.
Part A- SEMI-DOCUMENTED
The name HUNSUCKER first appears in my family pedigree with my great
grandmother Margaret Inez Hun(t)sucker(8/10/1846, Moore County,
N.C.-12/25/1895, Fayette County, Texas) m. John Albert Young(1830-1889)
7/24/1866 in Floyd Carroll Parish, Louisiana. Her brother was Archibald
Monroe HUNSUCKER(1842, N.C.- 1918, Mississipi).
Her mother was Sarah A. HUNSUCKER(Feb. 1823,N.C.-before 1914 in?) m.
?. Sarah's sisters were Elizabeth HUNSUCKER Horn(4/11/1839, Cumberland
County,N.C.-3/26/1911, Logan County, Arkansas and Mary HUNSUCKER Tucker
(?, N.C.-? , Bibb County, Alabama).
The major mystery here is exactly who the father of Margaret was.
Some have stated that it was another Hunsucker. If so, did he spell his
name different from Sarah, Margaret's mother. It is known that Sarah
eventually married a man with the surname of Oldham and that the Oldham
family were extensively involved in rearing Margaret and Archibald.
PART B-PRECEDING ALLEDGED PEDIGREE WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION
1. William HUNSUCKER II( circa 1800, Moore County, N.C.- after 1860,
Bibb County, Ala.) m. Celia ? (1798-?) in N.C..
2. William HUNSUCKER(circa 1775, Moore County, N.C.- after 1850, ?) m.
Livicy Brewer(?1772,?)- (?,?) in 1802.
3. John HUNSUCKER(circa 1740, ?-before 1800, Fayette District, moore
County, N.C.) m. Susannah ?(?, ? -?, ?).
4. ? Abraham HUNSUCKER a.k.a. HUNTZICKER(?1715,Germany-?,?) m.
Katherine ?(?, ?- ?,?).
5.Peter HUNTZICKER(1685, Germany-?,?) m. Anna Benedicta Welti(1685,?-
?,?).
The major problems in this section lie in the links, if they exist,
between John Hunsucker and Peter Huntzicker in addition to verifying the
above presumptions.
Let me add my kudos to those you have undoubtedly received for your
efforts and talent, Adrian, in making all of this possible. Of course,
your mother, Patsy, deserves all our thanks as well. I think the above
questions correlate with some of your own curiosites as well. With high
regards for all of you, I remain Sincerely yours, Gary Carl Aden
