that she married a HUNSUCKER.
I do have a picture of her. So please keep her in mind while comtemplating Hunsuckers.
Any information appreciated

Hello All,
I am in the dark about my Hunsucker ancestor. I have him as having been born in NC--- no idea where or to whom or where in NC. I have a lot of info on him dating from 1869 when he was in Fayette, TN until his death, but none prior to that. All I have is family "stories". Below is the information I have. I would appreciate any possible information anyone could give me. ARCHIE HUNSUCKER (Family story is that his name was A.A. which stood for Archibald Anderson---have no basis for this other than rumor). A lady advertised in a Heritage Quest magazine
several years ago looking for a WILLIAM A. HUNSUCKER married to ELIZABETH MAYS and she had listed
with him one of the sons I show for my Archie, THOMAS NEWTON HUNSUCKER. I know that my Archie was
the father of a Thomas Newton Hunsucker. I have been unable to contact the lady who advertised.
ARCHIE was married to---according to family rumor, an UNK WATKINS.
Again, I have no proof of this Watkins' existence. I do know that he was married at least once before he married his last wife. There is no census which lists this Archie with a first wife and family that I have been able to find.
The census that lists Archie and Louisa and their children (1880) lists his POB: NC and his age which
indicates that he was born abt. 1820. ARCHIE was married to LOUISA ANGELINE ARRINGTON ROSS. Louisa
was the widow of JAMES L. ROSS who was killed in the Civil War. She had one son, SID ROSS when she
married Archie in March, 1869 in Fayette, TN. Archie was a widower with 7 children when he married
Louisa (Thomas Newton was one of these children). He had 7 more children with Louisa. Archie and
Louisa moved to the Early Grove, Marshall Co., MS area sometime between 1869 and the birth of the first child Plummer, around 1871. Archie and Louisa moved to TX sometime around 1890 to live with their son and step-son, DAVID BUCKNER (BUCK) HUNSUCKER, and Archie died around 1899 in TX. Archie is rumored to have had a brother
named Asa and Enoch. There was an Abraham Hunsucker who lived in Marshall Co. around the same time
Archie was there and lived in the same district. I have no idea if they were related, but it seems
logical to assume they were brothers.
This is all the information I have about my Archie Hunsucker. I have posted this information to the MS list several times and have gotten no "bites" so thought I'd post to the NC list to see if anyone possibly recognizes this family. I would certainly appreciate any information or suggestions on my "brick wall".
