Heye Aden's Will Dtd. Oct. 24, 1892 (Attachment in Separate Entry

Email From Gary Aden to Sandie
Email Dated 2/23/1999

Dear Sandie,

Needless to say, I was very grateful and excited by the morning postal
delivery. I'll get right to some comments.

Re: the will itself, the oldest son, John, and "John Aden of Carlton",
as Thelma refers to him, are clearly delineated. I had always pictured
the situation correctly, but it's very nice to have confirmation.

The xerox copies, I presume, came from Mimke's Bible(1886 edition). It
ill behooves one to be critical of their forefathers, but he probably
wouldn't mind if I felt peeved that this guy, early on described as a
scrupulous, aspiring banker, didn't detail where in Deutschland he and
Hiskea Wilts were born. I did learn, however, the correct spelling for
everyones' names. We also have confirmation of the exact place and date
of Hiskea's death when and if we  start chasing down her origins. I
forget which one, but either Hiyo or Thelma said that she was born and
raised in a town not too far from where Mimke was born and raised, but
they did not know each other in Prussia.

As a side note, you may be interested to know that I drove to Hemet,
Ca. about 20 years ago to meet Louis Sylvester Aden, the only son by the
second marriage. Even at that time, I was interested in the same
questions you and I are pursuing today. We have a very amicable meeting,
but he was able to be of no help whatsoever.

Let's contiue the dialogue. If I have missed something or my
assumptions were wrong, kindly let me know. Thank you for your efforts.
Cuzzin'  Gary
