Joy,
I ran across the following in an old copy of an Old Tryon Journal, so it
really may not be available anymore; however, I thought you might could use
this info.

"History of the Hunsinger Family, compiled by R.H. Hunsinger, 517 N. Broad
St., Gastonia, NC and completed during the year 1939, contributed by
Elizabeth H. Michaels, Rt. 12, Box 74-A, Morganton, NC 28655. Not
Published. 11 pages typed."

"This short history deals with the descendants of Christopher Columbus
Hunsinger, born in Moore County, NC in 1790 married Susan Brewster of Polk
Co., NC. His father is mentioned as being a Revolutionary soldier who came
to America in 1770 but does not name him. They were the parents of 10
children, 7 sons, 3 daughters. These children and their families primarily
in Western N.C. and in upper S.C. Some of the related family names include:
Goode; McAbee; Hayes; Hensley; Ballard; Fisher; Johns; Potter; Jones;
Mathis; Owens; Barnett; Nodine; Green; Henson; Hardin; Smart; Sisk; Baynard;
Wilkie, and many others. This is a rare history and should be treasured by
the family."

Joy, I copied this info from the Feb. 1882, Vol II, number I copy of the
Bulletin of Old Tryon. Wish there was more info but maybe you will be able
to glean something from it.
