Dear Gary,

I received your e-mail and was glad to hear from you.  I'm
sending it on to 2 of our cousins. 

Thanksgiving Day we had a Cross Allen Reunion in Temple, Texas.
All 6 of my surviving lst cousins were there.  We had about 65 in all.  I
talked about JWB Allen and the impact he had on our family.  We had lots
of genealogy information there.  Georgia and Jim Rodgers were there and
brought their copier.  She also brought up the subject of the Thrifty
Historical Marker and got some donations.

Another cousin, Marcia Cooper, ( Box 40, Montgomeryville, PA.,
18936) called and told me that she is now a Daughter of the American
Revolution by way of William Allen.   She has proved from JWB Allen on
back, so if you have relatives that want to join, let her know and she'll
tell you her number that we would all use and tell you what else you have
to do.

I'm also sending you the e-mail address of my 1st cousin, Gene
Cross.  He has not done much on the JWB history.  He has been finding
information at the Univ. of Louisville concerning Dr. George W. Allen.

reprinted.  I told him I thought that you would be interested.  His name
