Reply (EMAIL FROM BETSEY TO GARY)
Email From Betsey gdbobdykes@juno.com to Gary Aden

Dear Cuz Gary,
Sorry I'm so long in getting back with you. My e-mail has been down for
about a month. They upgraded it and it took them forever to send me the
disk.
Guess what! I don't have Marcia Cooper's phone number. I've never
tried to call her. She called me but I never thought to ask her her
phone number. If you get it let me know. You do have her address, don't
you? Mrs. Bill Cooper, Box 40, Montgomeryville, PA, 18936.
I hope you get it straightened out about the right William Allen. Looks
like they could have given him a more unusual name such as Gary or
Betsey. Then maybe there wouldn't be such a mix up.
As far as JWB Allen's book, I think he wrote it as he saw it. He may
have used his grandfather and uncle as examples of what he wanted to
teach. My mother wrote short stories based on real happenings but she
embellished them. Perhaps he did the same thing. I don't think we need
to believe everything he wrote as he was trying to teach the youth.
I'll try to answer your next epistle as soon as I receive it.
Your Cuz,
Betsey
