My brother James found some new ancestors on the internet, and yesterday I had a chance to check some of them out at our local genealogy library.

The information promises to link us up through the Jennings side to a Joseph Humphries who served in the American Revolution and later received a grant for his services, on Big Shoal Creek in Franklin/Jackson County, Georgia.  He died there and his will was presented for probate 7 Jan 1811.  I found a 1995 book of will abstracts that included it, and imagine my surprise when I turned back ten pages to a sample document and saw on the facing page the abstracted will of William Allen who died five years earlier in the same county.

Both pages are attached.

Haven't we been here before?

Thought you would enjoy being the first to know.
