QUICK REVISED YOUNG

YOUNG (Continued on page 2-third page of three- new paragraph)
A remarkable coincidence related to my brother Mike's genealogy
and this area should be noted in passing. It is almost uncanny that Mike
and his first wife, Sally JENNIINGS, were raised in the same area and
schooled in the same town in Colorado( Del Norte, Rio Grande County)
never realizing until long after their marriage that their genealogical
roots were in the Flatonia-Colony, Fayette County area. Their parents,
despite being close friends and business associates, never realized
anything other than that each shared roots in Texas. Recently, I have
learned from Sally that a will was filed in Jackson County, Georgia by
one of her forebearers around the same time that the will of William
Allen( c 1755-1806), the progenitor of our Allen pedigree line in
America, was filed.
Reverend J.W.B. Allen(1819-1890), my second great-grandfather
and his wife, Martha CAMP Allen(1814-1907) are buried in the Flatonia
Cemetery near the now- defunct town of Colony and the present day Colony
cemetery.
